Tumescent Liposuction
TECHNIQUE BASICS

Liposuction begins as small incisions are made near the area where fat is to be removed. Special tumescent fluid is injected under the skin; external ultrasound is applied. A thin, hollow tube, called a cannula is inserted, and is attached to a machine that creates a strong vacuum. The cannula is then strategically manipulated under the skin to remove the unwanted fatty deposits.
